To achieve
this objective, this statement of policy and the associated standards must
influence all our daily activities and decisions; Effluent Services is committed
to keeping all people free from harm while working. Safety is everyone’s responsibility and a condition
of employment.
It is
our attitude that a safe work environment is the only acceptable environment
and that all associated illness and injury is preventable.
We
endorse excellence in Health and Safety Management; and accomplish this by:
Recognising and
ensuring compliance with our duties as an employer under Health and Safety
legislation, standards, regulations, codes of practice, and standard operating
procedures.
Recognising the
duties of employees under the Health and Safety legislation, and provide the
necessary systems to enable employees to be responsible for being safe at
work, and not to cause harm to themselves or others.
Where applicable,
hold other third parties accountable for adhering to our Health and Safety
Policy and systems, while recognizing our responsibility to other third parties
to keep them safe from harm arising directly from our business operations.
Providing resources,
training, staff inductions, accident prevention programs, facilities and other
tools to ensure our Health and Safety systems are effective.
Ensuring accurate
and timely reporting and recording of incident occurrences.
Regularly review
our Health and Safety Policy and systems in order to continually improve our
Health and Safety performance.
Give Health and
Safety considerations equal status with other business objectives, and integrate
them into all aspects of our work.
